Step 01
01 — Complete the Online Request
The journey begins with an online request form. You provide essential information including your requested loan amount, loan purpose, state of residence, contact information, and gross monthly income range.
Submitting a request carries no fee and does not obligate you to accept any loan offer.
Step 02
02 — Verify Your Information
If connected with a participating provider, the lender may request additional documentation to verify your identity, residential address, employment, or income. Verification methods vary by provider and may include pay stubs, bank statements, or official ID.
Step 03
03 — Review Your Loan Agreement
If approved for an offer, the provider presents a detailed loan agreement. By federal law under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), all essential costs must be clearly disclosed:
- Loan Principal Amount: The exact total dollar sum disbursed.
- Annual Percentage Rate (APR): The annualized cost of credit including interest and origination fees.
- Finance Charge: The total dollar cost you pay to borrow the money over the life of the loan.
- Monthly Payment Amount: The fixed payment required every billing cycle.
- Total Repayment: The combined total of principal plus all finance charges.
Step 04
04 — Decide Whether to Accept
Carefully review the entire loan agreement before making a decision. Accept the offer only if the monthly payment and total cost fit comfortably within your household budget. Never accept an offer if you are uncertain of your ability to make scheduled payments on time.
